Jul 2014
Miles from nowhere,
I swam with the great whites,
swimming behemoths,
a ton of man-eating fish.

I touched sandpaper skin,
gazed at toothy smiles
& saw cold black eyes
& it reminded me of the city.

Thank God
I had a cage to keep me away,
'cause if wishes were sharks,
I'd ride one.
