i met her once
just once at an educators
conference....
she was a nun in modern
habit....
a older lady with a beatific
smile.... a sparkling intelligence, a love for life,
a glowing from within...
and now she is a photo on
the news.....
one of those taken from the sky.......

today..... i saw the photo
of Sister Philomena of the Sacred Heart...as one of the lost from the plane shot down.....her essence will be
missed as will that of the other 298 people senslessly killed....
and the world is a lesser place for this....happening.
