I could compare Cliff Huxtable to James Evans because of their style.
But each father brings to the table, what the best way to raise their child?
Different generation.
Different views.

On Good Times, James Evans was the father many people knew.
A working class man , strict and firm.
Not afraid to bring discipline.
If it was required too.
This is the dad many kids new within their you.

Reminded many of Andy Taylor.
Who raised Opie with his favorite Aunt?
Reasonable, lovable and expressed his love openly with hugs.
This is the father many of us loved.
Kind to everyone that cross his path.

Life bless kids with good and bad things of a parent.
But if you're not sure , how to be one?
Well television has some good example.

Some of us back in the day.
Know our parents wasn't afraid of the police of the social worker.
They spoke honesty and truth.
As long as you're living under their roof.
You must obey the rules.
Or go into state custody.

Which brings in different rules, different generation.
