Whisper into my ear.
The words you’d never speak.
The broken shards of sentences.
The phrases much too meek.

I’ll take it all to heart.
Glass, steel, bronze, and clay.
No matter the state of the thought.
Fractured, gouged, pieces chipped away.

I filled my lungs with silence.
Then made a solemn swear.
To keep your words a secret.
Beneath my watchful care.

So whisper into my ear.
The things left untold.
I’ll keep it safe and secure.
Whether it be iron or gold.  .
