Jun 2014
dry dust tears
fell upon the land
endless their caravan
of depressed mood
those who toiled
on the land
ne'er a dowsing season
did arrive

dry dust tears
in arid terrain
no promising clouds
to endow the soils
with life
the landholders
suffered this strife

dry dust tears
coursing in the lands veins
beseeching to the skies
asking for rains
the field's grasses
shriveled away

dry dust tears
gloom descended
the omen of expiry
remained
etched upon the land
