On the bridge at midnight
Crying children dream
Of
Promises made
We are
Searching
So very hard for grace and tranquility
Searching for each other
In the spaces tween the stars
••
We are
The poetry
We write only ***** ragged bodies
Weighted down by poverty
We are too mortal
Too fragile for day
We are only the empty buildings
The rubble
The decay
We are only the dying light striving
To
Stay lit
The ragged opposite of feigned love
And bliss
We are the magnificent reminders
That god is love
And touches completely
Every one
••
Come come with us
On the midnight vigil
Across the mystic bridge
Where the myths take real shape
And every child-like man is free
To dream the tomorrow
That shall surely come to be
