The princess sings staccato,
as staggers on her heels,
she feels,
she stops and starts,
as she breaks hearts,
she breaks theirs,
the porcelain ones,
edged with gold,
not guilt,
she stops abruptly,
swirling round on cotton reels,
loaded with elastic,
she tumbles from stiletto heels,
elastic,
it always bounces back!
this princess is perfect,
priceless,
she is the box of pleasant dreams,
you still hang on,
waiting to meet her,
long may you wait.
how does for forever sound?
