Speak Now

sneaking in was easy

seeing you was the hard part

I saw her standing there, in her white marshmallow dress

then you beside her in your tuxedo, looking as if you've seen a ghost

the preacher began to speak

my hands began to shake

"speak now, or forever hold your peace"

either way, this would not be peaceful

I showed myself,

wearing that black dress you knew so well

proclaiming loudly "I do!"

as your eyes found mine

they silently screamed

"I do too."
