May 2014
a bird hopped through the window
I fed it crumbs of lemon cake
or was it vanilla
a drink of water
I saw tadpoles swimming
in a pond no bigger
than a puddle
and played with them
with my finger
such are my remembered
dreams of last night
the veil is thin
between spirit world
and these northern isles
