think of all the soldiers many years  before
walking in to battle  sent to fight a war
fighting in the trenches on the battleground
fighting with the enemy scattered all around

lying in the mud in the wind and rain
many lying injured fighting through there pain
fighting for there freedom to set there homeland free
to live in peace again the way that it should be

many are so young but there life they give
giving so  much strength  so we all can live
showing lots of courage and there bravery
not knowing if there home .  they will ever see

fighting for there country fighting for there king
fighting for there life risking everything
we must bless them all for the future that  we see
if not for the soldiers. we would never be.
