why the  worship of unfulfilled longings?

why the overuse
(AND MISUSE)
of the word "love"?

little pathetic stories
told as if they contained
some deep poetic meaning

why are we merely staggering
thru these days
when we know we are here
for
nobler displays
of being?

the answers are quite plain

the reasons we ignore them,
too

little children
take heed

of the madness
and the fear


and the door
that takes you
out of "here"
