Walking through sand,
blustering winds.
Whipping my face,
I trek through tinariwen.

Seeking peace, a new life,
Tassili n'Ajjer stands in my way.
There is not much time,
sun sets on this day.

I climb,
I walk,
I sit,
I kneel,
I feel,
the sand beneath my bare feet.

My tagelmust, takatkat and akarbey,
are all I really own.
That and the camel that follows.

I feel a colder air whipping with the sand,
so I set up for the night.
I pray with all my might.

May Set calm the storms,
and Isis deliver me home,
to my new home,
my new home.
