It was the evil way
he disrespected you
dancing on the bar top
that blew me away.

He grabbed your
drunken hips,
kissed your parted lips
& you swayed
to the raucous crowd,
it wasn't very funny.

You,
with your innocence
stripped away &
him,
abusing
your good nature.

He was stopped by
my quick intent,
he saw it in my eyes,
was no match
& relinquished
his sick-control.

We fell into
each other's arms,
you were something beautiful.
You had me
at that moment
& despite
being worlds apart,
you always will.
