Veins polluted with the malady that is love
From the lethal sting of Delilah

A man with a virtuous temperament
A devotee
A fool

Parched and empty
Dangling on the edge of reason
Short of resistance
He succumbed to her feign affections
And so it bled and bloomed
A cloak-and-dagger romance
Doomed to crumble.
