The beauty in you sees the beauty in me
I see your kindness, your essence, your touch
You see my essence, the very core of me, fighting to live
And up until now I had not seen that you were not my lover but my mirror and teacher
Thus we reflected and radiated from one another
The confusion was easy as we both felt it once, the connection and bond that could not be mistaken
But I see now that lovers can only be lovers if they fight for their love
and fight you could not as the reflection blinded me and not you
So you are now my mirror, nothing more but maybe something less
And I now see you looking back at me
The beauty in me sees the beauty in you
