The kingdom of stone
under a mountain of
gold, greed was the
downfall of those hoarded
was much from the earth
rock and stone.

The halls flowed with light,
reflected from the candles
in the great halls, to keep
the darkness from consuming
the treasure to illuminate them in the light.

But though it gleams, it will
always yearn to always return
from where it came, back in to
the ground in darkness for it
to sleep once again.

So the earth was angered by what
was stole, its beauty ripped out
leaving gaps in its soul, the earth
moved, shuddered under foot. And
the mountain did fall,  once where
treasure did gleam under stems of
light.

Now once again, it fights
reclaimed by the earth
Never again to see the light
Embraced in rock and stone
