winds upon cheeks

Softly now the stars fade as the MAN appears
Gentle loving dreams move in silent song
Across the land
Looking for the lovers who know them
And who will call them
THEIR OWN
••
Lo !
A hand !
Born both for caresses and hard labor
••
( I am sure I saw you there !)
••
And as the LADY OF THE MIST arises
And as the GUARDIANS walk their way
Amid the children of the humane human
The fearless defenders of this -- the DAY
--
We are only GRACIOUS SPLENDOR
never a moment to cause hurt or pain
We are MAN - not wanton Pretenders
Jealous lovers nor mighty kings
••
Do I know you well I guess
We've been together a million years
We are only here forever
We have no story but each other
And our love for humanity
••
And so we gather
We the MOUNTAIN
we the RIVER
we the SEA
