the grand old duke of york he had ten thousand men he was odd that way
his parents never new that the duke was gay
he took them up the hill took them one by one
he run out of breath now the duke has gone

his secret it was kept to this very day
the truth about the duke so very far away
his soldiers they still march up down the hill
his parents never knew and they never will
