Estranged and confused I entered a town,
with eyes of curiosity I looked around,
Familiar some faces my vision could fetch,
Anxiety I saw throughout the stretch.

Amidst nowhere I found myself,
To get some help I asked a friend,
Neither she saw me, nor smiled, nor said,
astounded by her gesture I was perplexed.

There was a child playing in a nook,
I went to him with a hopeful look,
To ensure myself I repeated twice,
He too couldn't see me, to my surprise!

Like a vagabond, I roamed alone,
Deserted I felt, no hand to hold,
Why can't they hear me, nor get my sight?
This thought got me goosebumps, increased my fright.

I came across a creek, in my lonely search
I ran near water, to quench my thirst,
Stunned I was on getting the glimpse
There was no reflection, myself I missed!!

This town is world and I am life,
alone we are born and alone we die,
people may not see you or hear your heart,
Stay close to God and share your thought.
This world gives nothing, all done is in vain
Expect from God, a reward for each pain.

"Don't change yourself for the world around,
'Cause if you lose yourself, you won't be found!"
