Please.
Let me mold myself into you.
As I sit in your lap
Kissing your forehead
I want to freeze.
Breathe on my neck until it melts
Break down this cold wall between us.
I know why it's there.
A coping mechanism
An attempt not to feel
While we were so far apart.
It's time for us to warm up again.
We could take it fast
And melt by vigorous friction
Or we could take it slow.
I want to drip,
Blend the puddles between ourselves
Become one again.
Through long-distance letters we built a snowman,
He welcomed us home.
Let's steal his scarf
And watch the sun come out.
I'll hold your hand until we can feel each other again.
