Reds on a messy paint pallet
My hair, that evening dress, cherry-scented chapstick
blood gushing, with my heart that I've presented before you
Tie my arteries as though they are ribbon
Wrap them around a gift for her
So she knows it was me
It was mine, the choice was not
Those veins pumped for you
And now they are all that remains
