Man
I've reached the age to be called a Man -
A fully-fledged hairless ape;
Down from the trees and into the gutter;
No more tail between my legs.

I thank evolution for my hands (thumbs);
I thank technology for my mind;
I thank my ancestry for my being.

Am I any better than other animals?
Maybe, but I really don't think so:
Sure, I can conceive and create for love;
Also I ******, **** and torture from hate.
No other animal is so conceited;
No other predator is as cruel; contemptuous.
Man is an animal with innate guilt:
Condemned with the concept of angst.
