I just saw a shooting star
Crashing through space
All burning blaze and blinding light
Soaring through a universe
That has spat it out
Rejected and alone
It is discarded
Or maybe it grew tired
Of watching the Earth turn
And instead, fell,
Like an angel from grace
All holy and glorified
So that its remains
May make flowers grow
In the craters it leaves

Or perhaps
It is just
A star.
