i remember mother Riley all those years ago
rushing home from school just to watch her show
this little irish lady as funny as can be
with her funny antics brought a smile to me
looking after kitty the daughter she loved so
where ever kitty went mrs riley she would go
with her funny hat and her shawl of white
always in to trouble looking for a fight
she made the people laugh with her funny show
by being very funny she gave there hearts a glow
