I told him he wasn't my father
and that he couldn't ever be him.

He said he knew he couldn't replace him
But that he is more of a father
Than Kurt (my real father) would ever be.

I never apologized to him, my dream father
He told me I hurt his feelings
And that he wasn't mad just upset.

He is my father, my dream father,
And I realize it now more than anything.
This story is about my mothers boyfriend. He is like my father. My real father walked out of our lives and hasn't tried to be part of it for real for many, many years now. I love my moms boyfriend.
