A rabbit I know
I
Did not
Know
I could
Be
This happy
Until you
Peeked upon me
My world
From behind
This metal cage
With limited company
Scary loneliness
And a non caring human
Was what I had
You smiled
So weird
You whispered
And talked
With a warm
Caring
Voice
You
Opened the door
And said
I could come out
You
Touched my head
And I Did not
Understand
This new feeling
So I
Crouched
Ears down
Body pressed to
The bottom of this
Stinking cage
So scary
But
I
Decided
To listen
Walking
On the stone floor
In this house
Much more interesting
I felt
Love
You did not
Chase me
Did not
Reprimand
Did not say
Anything
Only
Looked
At me
The short time
I was out
You gave me
Hope
And now
Still in this cage
I will
Never
Forget
Your sweet
Kindness
This is a poem about a rabbit I knew and his point of view when a careless girl did not take proper care of the animal and I came by.
