Claws rake at my skin,
Fangs pierce my soul.
A troubled life has taken hold.

Around me,
Wolves howl and growl.
They have me cornered.
Ready for their next meal.

Staring blankly,
Into the eyes of insanity.
This one wants me.

I gave in,
The pack howled victory.
I was prepared to die,
Even for my family.

As time slows,
A growl stops their advance.
Questioning looks worried thee.

He...
Was beautiful..
White fur,
Blue eyes...
It was the Alpha.

My immobile body shivered,
Becoming a nervous wreck,
As HE got closer.

Cold noses touched their master,
Asking questions,
Sensing a difference in the Alpha.

He pushed them away,
Guarding me with his life.
But why?

He howled,
They corresponded.
Knowing that sound.

My eyes closed,
Losing my energy,
I feared death came quickly.

Only one sound remained,
It was the howling Wolves.
Crying in the rain..
Quite inspired by wolves and music, as well as books. So if this sounds like Shiver, I can see why. Enjoy!
