You were the boy who always kept his head down Looking for the cracks in the pavement and the lost constellations in the dirt You never glanced up, and I never caught your eye Because you were too busy trying not to trip But what if I promised to catch you And what if I promised I'd watch for those cracks and when I found those constellations lose within the depths of the ground We could share it over the stars and a few lost nights of tossing and turning as our hearts beat together over no sleep
This poem kept popping up in my head over a few days and I decided to write it down since it was floating in my head.
