You are not the dust in the clothes never worn
You are the giggle in your mothers smile
You are not the rain in the autumn
You are the light in your best friends eyes
You are not the unfixable toy thrown to the trash
You are the soldier
Fighting demons within yourself
Darling do not think you are anything less than perfect
One day I hope you wake up
And realise you are so much more
Than background noise
