Feb 2014
while walking in the woods i found a little hawk
he looked liked he was injured all he did was squawk
i took him home with me to see what i could do
i nursed him very gently and hoped he would pull through
gave  him lots to drink to take his thirst away
and made a little bed for the little hawk to stay
i slept by his side stayed there for the night
then when i awoke the little hawk was bright
he was feeling better and walked across the floor
i followed close behind him and opened up the door
up into the air the little hawk he flew
the little rest he had made him feel brand new
i stood there and watched him as he flew away
and i waved goodbye to this little bird of prey
