Muscle cars drove through my heart
(although I grew up around them),
Rock music was unbearable
(even if it was my favorite),
I couldn't look at another plate of steak
(although I loved meat),
I wouldn't dare wear another article of clothing that was black
(even if it was my favorite color and brought out my eyes).
After you,
I was ruined.
