When your heart is ready,
Your beloved will come
And you’ll trust once again,
Where before you felt numb

He listens, he cares, he knows what to say
To make your eyes shine
On a miserable day
He holds you close on cold nights
His eyes are only for you
And he’d move a mountain
To be next to you.
To him you are perfect
Every flaw every strength
A beautiful canvas of womanly grace
From the very first time
That you talked, that you kissed
It just seemed so easy
And you knew what you’d missed
All those years
Struggling, fighting with
The wrong type of guy
Wearing down your spirit
Until you had no more try
But your beloved is coming
And you’ll know it then
The right time, the right place
That first look, that first embrace
When two kindred souls meet,
And not even sugar will taste
Quite as sweet.
