Our story's older than the wind
It's been decided by the universe in which we live,
So how can we pretend that we know how it's going to end?
When it's hard to breathe some say
It's easier to just give up on it,
But I say there's still hope for us to rescue each other.

Our differences are all but left behind
And it's hard to make the changes
When you keep going back and forth in your mind
But if you rescue me,
I'd never be the same again.

So I'm asking you to...
Rescue me in the midst of my darkest hour and
Time will tell that I never really had the power
How foolish it would be to just give up on it,
Because we may lose and we may win,
But like the sun we would rise again,
So if you rescue me you will find
I'll be saving you too.
