Catch me, I'm falling.
No ground for my feet.
This sinking feeling,
my pounding heartbeat.

Blinded and anxious.
Colors being swallowed.
Blackness takes over,
my soul, hollowed.

Sudden warmth, a kind
single teardrop trickling
down, gently caressing
my cheek, tickling.

Awaken to the relief of
having broken from this snare.
Allowing the sobs to pull
me from this nightmare.
