The speed limit was 50,
And we were climbing 85.
You pushed me to go faster.
We knew we were in too deep,
Demolitions only lasts for so long.
It was too cold to take such risky measures.
We lived fast and loud,
And we never saw this disaster coming on,
Head on.
Freeze, spin, collide, blackout.

You spun me out
And totaled the mechanism of my heart.
Inspired by the weather outside, the negative degrees Fahrenheit reminded me of my ex.
