Last night,
With the way the lights framed your face and lit up your eyes,
I wanted nothing more
Than to tuck your hair behind your ear
And plant a kiss on your lips,
Hoping it could blossom into something more
Alas,
There was no water to feed it,
No sunlight to nourish it,
And I wasn't nearly drunk or brave enough
To start digging
