We don't own each other anymore
But in some ways I think we do
I hold you in the palm of my hand
An idea, so dark that it's blinding
An idea of what it's like to be with you
One so much different than our youth
But one that I often bask in
From time to time, a deadly mood
Dead inside, it feels
Feeling the need to let go
And let you love me again

You are the temporary love that will never die.
