This cities rain spits acidly spitefully
breaking the limestone buildings slowly
the gargoyles faces droop and melt
in this city aged with greed when built

No summer here, it never comes
just incessant downpours that run
down to the sewers where rats dwell
in this city accursed with living hells

The tree lined avenues buckle
under the weight of lost dreams
and the people you meet here
are not what at first they seem

Oh unholy city dying pretty
braking down what's left of humanity
indignant and glorious is your demise
in the foul foul rain before my eyes.
