My Number
To my last breath I whisper her name
as I bleed to death on this battlefield
with eyes closed I think of her
and know my life was not in vain
Oh mother in heaven
know your son comes soon
for Christmas has no meaning
no meaning without such heart as you
I regret I do not die here
for you know I died long ago
and the shadow I call me
is just that a shadow
But that is between you and me
and as I rise with the scars of battle
you know my secret number
codes I have embossed in writes
Still your child
even though I am aged beyond
only now you know my name
and mother you know my number
