Dec 2013
As the bite of early frost
makes the fall of foliage
birdsong starts later
plants retreat into ground

Those early mornings
when foxes are barking
carpets of gold and reds
have matronly with cool mists

You will see me there
ankle deep in it's beauty
brushing winters cheek
loving her forever more

The moon is full
and at midnight
she calls me
to the woodland
