At the entrance of the hive I stand wings folded
for I am this morning a sentinel for my queen
and only by my death will my enemies pass

Others have come to join me this morning
some waving wings to and thro
warming up to take flight

Lucky ******* off on their foraging missions
and me left here to protect the hive
my luck, you would not give it credence

My word that sun is hot
oh well I'd better flutter my wings
cool the hive and today go nowhere
