You miss the message written in the poems.
You miss the message written in the songs.
And then wonder how?

You miss the message written on the banners.
You miss the message hung above the ladder.
And you ponder when.

All the various way I have expressed myself to you.
Seem to go above your head into a zone lost instead.

When I say it.
You think I'm joking.
When I write it.
You think I'm scheming.
And I wonder why?

Why it hard for you to accept true love from a kind hearted guy?
