It's getting darker in here
I know they will be here soon
I can hear their cold whispers
getting closer and closer

What will they ask me to do for them
what will they want from me this time
all the doors and widows are locked
but that has never stopped them before

Their suffocating presences
their unending demands
will bring me to my knees
another night another ****

I was about to sleep
that calm before the storm
but I am not allowed to slumber
they want me keen and sharp

So I will bathe in the lightning
and the burning in my heart
I will trust what I have been told
and fearless, upright boldly do I go

All that will stop me
is my own mortality
my halo of light
still shines above me
