Hotline

by cJocelyn

I’m your suicide hotline Baby, I’m your lifeline Always there Any place, any time But I don’t want to be Your hotline anymore Because every time you call I feel myself hit the floor I spent so long saving you I forgot to save myself Put all my broken pieces On somebody else’s shelf Ring Ring Ring My hotline’s calling But I can’t make it in time Looks like while I was saving you Nobody was saving mine

Notes

The hardest call to answer sometimes is your own.

This poem is tiny bit dark, but someone used to treat me like this and I was just thinking about it 😭
