Nov 2013
In all the vastness of the sea of stars we are all alone
The cold and barren winter valley
Is our only home
I travelled far across dunes of sand
In search of people like you and me
Sailed the seas in search of land
But I searched forever endlessly.

We found each other, two of a kind
Never a third we'll ever find
But you walked away without a breath
And in the end there was nothing left.

The wind still caresses my now weary face
Same wind that carries sand, snow, and sets seas adrift
Harsh gale or a soft breeze grace
It makes me feel again all I missed.
