You are only a weary pilgrim
While upon this road of life
While passing this way upon your journey
To a land of day or night

You are here for just a little while
What mercies will you leave behind
Will you be the feet of the crippled man
Or the eyes of one whose blind

There is a space only you can fill
While traveling upon this earth
Fill it with kindness to all mankind
Help each man to know his worth

Do unto all the men you meet
As you would have them do to you
This is Gods command to all
It is life's golden rule

Then when at last you are called
To that land of joy and bliss
Folks left here will remember you
And your presence will be missed
