“Why do you think I
don’t believe in love?” Likely,
because I don’t. Can’t.

Callused. Realistic.
Disillusioned. Just a game
played by little girls.

Is this fantasy
we call love ever attained?
I would bet it’s not.

Hollywood creates
an untrue picture of love.
One with many flaws.

Love? Perhaps, one day.
Love is simply sacrifice.
All pay the piper.
