Now, you're seated behind those walls.
Probably regretting ever decision you made or call.
Sure, you know Title VI more than you ever could recall the bible.

Now, you're facing reality that your freedom is limited.
Cause of the crime you committed.
Oh, a prisoner's regret.

There surrounded by some probably better or worse than you.
While the family you harm with your crimes has the option to forgive.
Or chose not to forgive you.
Yes, a prisoner's regret.

Your family optioning to visit or not visit you.
And you getting upset if some simply refuses too.
Remember your decision to go against laws of society placed you here.
When in truth all you had to do was follow rules assigned you.

Now you an expert on prisons rights.
Like many inmates  learning all the policies.
Which is strange because your charges states you ran from the police.
Oh, a prisoner's regret.

You living under this impression that the state owes you.
When it truth you owe your victims more.
You a WARD of the states with limited rights.
And get highly upset when rules requires you to stand up and be counted during the day.
The evening or night.

But you gave up your freedom by a choice of your own.
Heck, you even have rules governing the minutes you are on the phone.
Yes, a prisoner's regret..
Maybe one day you get probation.
Then maybe you flatting out.
But remember , if you return to prison once more.
Its because of a decision of your very own.
Yes, a prisoner's regret.
One with a felony tagging with you everywhere you go.
