This is the place the safe house stood
the place of refuge to reach if they could
only the Iron railings now survive
and them that did dwell within have now all died

This was the hiding place
the escape from the master race
these were rooms without views
for all within were frightened Jews

This is where the ashes lay
as a neighbour did betray
and in the middle of the night
the house was surrounded

From the pounding of the door
to dragging them out into the street
guns pointing at their back
soldiers sneering shouting bewegen

Then they throw them onto trucks
like lambs to the slaughter
for they hated these Jews
fathers sons, mothers and daughters
