He drives into the city in his white mini
his disciples follow behind on their bikes
the streets are paved with newspapers
right up to the capitals gates

People are cheering behind the barricades
at this glorious, joyous motorcade
around Trafalgar Square they ride and ride
people cheering with tears in their eyes

This is the day they have been waiting for
to be in the holy presence of their Lord
this is the day for all to rejoice
and with baited breath to hear his voice
